Lupus Patients are at the heart of our mission. Lupus affects everyone. Did you know MORE people suffer from lupus than AIDS, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, Sickle Cell Anemia and Cystic Fibrosis COMBINED?!
We are asking you to support Lupus International's mission with a gift that will impact and support the following activities:
- $25,000* will provide matching funds for a much needed Rheumatology Fellow.
- $10,000* will fund an educational symposium medical professionals, patients and their families at teaching and research centers.
- $5,000* will help fund support group activities for countless number of lupus patients and their caring others who come to us in increasing numbers.
- $2,500* will provide newly a written educational booklet addressing one of the many complexities of having lupus and overlay diseases.
- $1,000* will provide outreach efforts to the medical community to educate them on the various symptoms of lupus, diagnosis of the disease and new treatment modalities.
- $500 will help provide maintenance and enhancements of our newly launched website.
- $250 will provide educational literature for community, faith based or employer sponsored health fairs.
- $100 will provide 20 newly diagnosed lupus patients an LI info packet.
- $50 will provide one volunteer hotline for lupus patients and their loved ones.
- $25 to provide Lupus Line, LI’s quarterly magazine, to a lupus patient.
There is no amount too small or too big when it comes to research which is so desperately needed in search of a cure or treatment to prolong life and keep the disease at bay.
*Arrangements for pledge payments can be made at these gift levels.
P.S. Be sure to check with your tax advisor about the new tax relief law that may have a significant impact on your charitable gifts. The new law allows you to write up to 100% of your income for cash donations until 12/31/05. |
